My family and I have been in the fishing, bait & tackle business since 1936.
My grandfather, Clifford Peterson, started the family run business known as
Peterson Boat Livery in Houghton Lake Michigan. He made his living for his
family until his passing in the fall of 1971 while on a fishing trip in
Michigan's Upper Peninsula. That's when my mother and father took over the
business and we ran it until 1977. We sold live bait & tackle and also rented
out some of the best flat bottom hand made wooden boats. Then after years
of work in the shop my dad decided to close the business and retire. Now I
am starting up a new custom lure business, and one day hope to re-open the
old shop right on Houghton Lake where it all began.

Many of my friends and fans that know me have seen the work I have done
over the last few years in the lure industry. They encouraged me to get out
on my own and put time and effort into my own custom lure business.
Running this business has and continues to be a rewarding experience.
There's great satisfaction in knowing I am improving the sport for
angler's around the world with quality built lures. I strive to make sure that
Fish Bones Custom Lures is a product that I'm proud to put my name on.
